Overview
ES 700 is a compact in-store finishing system made up of the ES 700 edger and the TCB 800 automatic tracer-centerer-blocker. It is built for optical practices that edge their own lenses and want accurate results on every mounting, including high-wrap sports and fashion frames. ES 700M is the hybrid version: it adds milling to grinding, to hold the axis on slippery or delicate lenses and to cut with less water, odour and swarf.
Automatic tracing and centring with TCB 800
The TCB 800 traces the frame in 3D, harmonises the frame base trajectory and adjusts the centring data to the frame’s 3D parameters. This gives a correct fit on wrap frames regardless of lens markings or operator experience.
- Optical centre blocking mode to prevent axis shift on high minus or prismatic lenses
- Pad positioner to place the pad correctly on the edging block
- Advanced optical tracing for complex lens zones, with automatic drilling hole detection
- Large, regularly updated frame library including OMA shape files
Fit 4 Frame 2.0 and Full High Curve
Fit 4 Frame 2.0 technology produces a wide range of bevels and groove profiles for aesthetic, robust mountings: mini bevel, shelf or asymmetric bevel, step bevel, back step bevel and inclined back step bevel. The lens shape can be adjusted at 8 points around its perimeter.
Full High Curve technology lowers the risk of breakage on wrap frames up to base 10. The roughing cycle adapts to the lens curve in real time, and bevel placement and shelf depth are set for mounting without undue stress on the lens.
ES 700M: hybrid milling and grinding
ES 700M combines milling and grinding for complete axis control. Milling secures very slippery hydrophobic and delicate lenses and prevents axis shift. Dry-cut technology reduces wet lens waste and the smell from mid and high index materials, and uses less water than a grinding-only edger. ES 700M also offers a deeper step bevel, up to 3.5 mm.
Choose ES 700M if your practice dispenses many premium coated lenses.
Designed for every operator
Each operator can save preferred settings in a user profile and bookmark frequent jobs as favourites. The interface supports delegated workflows, so less experienced staff can finish jobs with confidence. The ES 700 edger has a 10-inch multi-touch screen on top, and the TCB 800 a 12-inch tiltable heads-up display, both with 3D job views. Remote maintenance and software and library updates keep the system current.

What is the difference between ES 700 and ES 700M?
Both use the TCB 800. ES 700M adds a milling tool to the grinding wheels, which holds the axis on very slippery lenses, cuts dry with less water and odour, and allows step bevels up to 3.5 mm deep.
How does ES 700 compare with ES 800?
ES 800 adds lens personalisation through the m’eye Custom web app (engraving, creative shapes, magnetic clips) and deeper step bevels on the 800M. ES 700 covers precise everyday and high-wrap finishing.
Can ES 700 edge high-wrap sunglasses?
Yes. Full High Curve technology edges wrap frames up to base 10, with bevels up to wrap 30°.
