Our dry eye and ocular surface range brings the Espansione portfolio to South African optometrists and ophthalmologists. Espansione is an Italian EssilorLuxottica group brand that specialises in dry eye assessment and light-based therapy. The range starts with me-check, for meibography and dry eye screening, and continues with treatment devices: eye-light, meibomask and my-mask. Together they let a practice assess the ocular surface, explain findings to patients and offer non-invasive in-practice treatment. Essilor South Africa supplies, installs and supports each device and trains your team.

Assess
me-check provides 2D and 3D meibography and structured dry eye screening, developed with practitioners. It uses the Meiboscale grading and the OSDI-6 questionnaire, and a screening can be completed in a few minutes.
Treat
eye-light combines Espansione’s Light Modulation low-level light therapy (photobiomodulation) with OPE intense pulsed light in one device. meibomask focuses on low-level light therapy for ocular surface conditions. my-mask is a portable light therapy device.
