Overview
ES 800 is a premium in-store finishing system made up of the ES 800 edger and the TCB 800 automatic tracer-centerer-blocker. It is designed for practices that want to finish the most demanding mountings in store and offer personalised eyewear. ES 800M is the hybrid version, combining milling and grinding to secure slippery or delicate lenses and prevent axis shift. Both work with the m’eye Custom web app for lens personalisation.
Precise tracing and centring
The TCB 800 harmonises the frame base trajectory and adjusts centring data to the frame’s 3D parameters, compensating for decentration caused by frame curvature. A pad positioner helps the operator place the pad correctly on the edging block.
Full High Curve technology lowers the risk of breakage on wrap frames up to base 10. Fit 4 Frame 2.0 produces a wide range of bevel and groove profiles, including front and back step bevels, and lets the operator modify the shape at 8 points around its perimeter.
Personalisation with m'eye Custom
With the m’eye Custom web app, patients can preview personalisation options and the practice can produce them on the ES 800:
- m’eye Sign: lens engraving from a library of 400 icons and 20 fonts
- m’eye Shape: 100 creative lens shapes in Classic, Original and Trendy themes
- m’eye Clip: magnetic clip-ons for polarised sun protection, blue-light filtering, 3D viewing or reading
ES 800M: hybrid milling and grinding
ES 800M adds a milling tool to the grinding wheels for complete axis control on very slippery hydrophobic and delicate lenses. Dry-cut milling reduces wet lens waste and odour and uses no water for the milling stage. ES 800M also supports step bevels up to 5.5 mm deep.
Choose ES 800M if your practice dispenses many premium coated lenses or wants the deepest step bevels for sports and fashion frames.
Comfortable to use
Both the edger and the TCB 800 have a 12-inch tiltable multi-touch heads-up display with 3D views of every job. Operators save their preferred settings in a user profile and use favourites for recurring tasks, so staff with different levels of experience can work efficiently. Remote maintenance and software and library updates keep the system up to date.
The TCB 800 also gives access to a large, regularly updated frame library including OMA shape files.
