Overview
The Vision-R 700 is a digital phoropter for optometrists and ophthalmologists who want faster refraction without giving up accuracy. Its exclusive optical module provides silent, continuous changes in sphere and cylinder power, a technology called Digital Infinite Refraction. Patient-specific smart programs and algorithms guide each step, and the phoropter can also be used as a normal digital phoropter whenever you prefer full manual control.
Digital Infinite Refraction
In traditional refraction, sphere, cylinder and axis are bracketed one by one, even though each affects the others, so values must be rechecked. The Vision-R 700 compensates all three at the same time. Every patient answer is based on compensated powers, which leads more directly to the final result.
- Continuous power: smooth, instant changes between dioptric powers, helping control accommodation
- Smart algorithms use smaller and larger steps, then round to 0.25 D
- Vertex distance is measured by cameras and compensated automatically
Easy to perform
Based on the imported patient data, the Vision-R 700 recommends the best smart program for each patient. Automated smart tests then change the test and calculate dioptric power in response to the patient’s answers. The guided procedure from start to finish gives an accurate result, even for less experienced operators. A help function explains the current test whenever you need it. The optional Easy Refraction Mode gives a fully guided refraction experience.
Improved patient experience
The compact head and silent lens changes keep distractions to a minimum. Because lenses are not stacked as in a traditional phoropter, the patient enjoys a wider, more natural field of view without a tunnel effect. Patients can also answer “no difference” or “don’t know”, and the smart tests use those answers, so nobody feels they are failing a test. A final comparison step shows the new prescription on real-life scenes and charts, side by side with the old one.

What is Digital Infinite Refraction?
It is the Vision-R 700’s optical module technology. It changes sphere and cylinder power continuously and compensates sphere, cylinder and axis at the same time, so the test reaches the final prescription more directly.
Do I have to use the smart programs?
No. The Vision-R 700 can also be used as a normal digital phoropter, giving you full control of the refraction.
How does the Vision-R 700 handle vertex distance?
Built-in cameras measure vertex distance from 4.0 to 30.0 mm, and the phoropter compensates automatically to the reference vertex distance.
