Overview
ES PRO 800M is a tabletop edger for prescription laboratories that need speed and the widest range of mountings. It combines hybrid milling and grinding, the SuperVeloce roughing cycle and a heavy-duty build. On top of everything the ES PRO 700M does, it adds super chamfering for thick lenses, half-jacket sports frame mountings and m’eye Custom personalisation. It edges all plastic lens materials and frames up to base 10.
Accelerate your productivity
The SuperVeloce roughing cycle and a new set of wheels bring edging time down by up to 41%, to under one minute per lens or about 27 jobs per hour. On average it is 25% faster than the earlier PRO-E 600 and 700.
Milling time is down by up to 57%, and the milling tool lasts up to six times longer regardless of lens material. Dry-cut milling reduces water use by as much as 66%, along with lens waste, odour and swarf.
Streamline integration
ES PRO 800M needs no vacuum or compressed air. A 12-inch tiltable multi-touch screen gives a heads-up view with 3D job previews. The edger interfaces with laboratory management software and fits multi-edger lines with tracer-centerer-blockers and Essibox. A side panel gives quick access for tabletop maintenance, and telemaintenance lets technicians update, diagnose and tune the edger remotely.
On-screen video help is available via QR code in the maintenance menu.
Sports, thick lens and personalised jobs
- Half-jacket frames: m’eye Sport Rx uses partial step bevelling with preset trajectories per frame design, and a photo mode that defines the step from an image of the frame
- Thick lenses: the super chamfer wheel gives a safe, attractive matt edge on thick minus lenses and avoids residual reflections, useful for children’s and sports eyewear
- Personalisation: the m’eye Custom web app shows patients the personalisation options available
Top-notch precision
Fit 4 Frame 2.0 produces flat, bevel, mini bevel, groove, shelf or asymmetric, step, step back and inclined step back bevels. Real-time control of cutting forces lets the roughing cycle adapt to lens curves up to base 10, avoiding breakage, and bevel placement and shelf depth are set for mounting without undue lens stress.
Hybrid milling and grinding cuts all plastic lenses with fine control, including slippery hydrophobic lenses.

What is a half-jacket mounting?
A sports frame where only the top of the lens sits in the frame. ES PRO 800M cuts a partial step along the top edge with small side protrusions that hook into the frame groove.
Does ES PRO 800M need compressed air or a vacuum system?
No. It runs as a tabletop edger without vacuum or compressed air.
