Overview
The SL 650 is a digital slit lamp for optometrists who want to capture high resolution images and video during routine examinations, to support diagnosis and monitor patients over time. Its software lets you analyse and compare images of the anterior and posterior segments and examine the meibomian glands with infrared illumination. The SL 650+ adds a dry eye module with five non-invasive tests and a complete dry eye report, and the SL 650 can be upgraded to it later. Results are easy to share with patients.
Image quality that supports diagnosis
- High quality optics: Galilean microscope with five magnification steps from 6.3x to 40x and LED illumination of at least 150 klx.
- HD digital system: records detail in high resolution images and video for precise assessment.
- Fluorescein contrast: integrated yellow and cobalt blue filters give high contrast fluorescein images for accurate contact lens fitting.
- Infrared meibography: an integrated infrared system shows the meibomian glands.
Digital patient management
The integrated Anaeyes SL software, with DICOM support, manages the whole process from creating the patient record to follow-up visits. You can measure findings, adjust image settings and compare several pictures side by side to monitor change over time. Clear images help explain findings to patients and build trust in your recommendations. Automatic functions, a built-in power supply and a USB connection to the supplied computer keep installation simple.
SL 650+ dry eye report
The SL 650+ adds five non-invasive tests for a complete dry eye assessment:
- Meibography with AI-identified glands and automatic gland loss grading.
- NIBUT with automatic first and average break-up time.
- Eye redness with automatic conjunctival and ciliary congestion percentages.
- Tear meniscus height measured automatically.
- Lipid layer thickness assessed against reference templates.
The software generates a dry eye report to share with the patient. AI tools assist the practitioner, who makes the clinical judgement.
