Cornea 550+
Multifunctional corneal topographer for contact lens fitting and dry eye assessment
Fully automatic anterior segment screening with up to 9 measurements in about 2 minutes
EU Class IIa medical device, CE marked. For professional use only.
WAM 800 is a fully automatic anterior segment screening instrument for optometrists and eye care practices. In a single sequence of about two minutes it can perform up to nine types of measurement: objective refraction, aberrometry, corneal topography, keratometry, non-contact tonometry, pachymetry, retro-illumination, pupillometry and monocular accommodation assessment. It replaces several separate pre-test stations, so practices gather the key data on every patient quickly and consistently, then spend chair time on the conversation that matters. WAM 800 is the current successor to the WAM 700+.
Pupil behaviour and ocular aberrations are key reasons why vision quality drops in changing light. Using Shack-Hartmann wavefront technology, WAM 800 measures objective refraction and pupil size in photopic and mesopic conditions and at near.
An intuitive interface on a 10.1-inch multitouch screen gives quick access to predefined protocols, so trained staff can run the screening and the practitioner reviews the results. Detailed reports set out each patient’s objective vision performance in clear graphics. These support patient education on presbyopia, visual fatigue and day and night vision, and help explain why a particular lens solution is recommended. WAM 800 connects to the practice network through LAN, USB, RS232 and VGA outputs and includes an integrated printer.

NewWavefront & topography
Multifunctional corneal topographer for contact lens fitting and dry eye assessment

Up to nine measurement types in one automatic sequence: objective refraction, aberrometry, corneal topography, keratometry, non-contact tonometry, pachymetry, retro-illumination, pupillometry and monocular accommodation assessment.
Essilor states the full screening gathers the key information in about two minutes per patient.
Yes. The WAM 700+ is no longer offered and WAM 800 is the current Essilor wavefront screening instrument.
No. It is a screening instrument. It measures risk indicators such as IOP, corneal thickness, angles and a keratoconus probability index to help the practitioner decide on referral or further tests.
